here is a special souvenir folder that carried one of the only covers ever carried by express mail into space. only 260,000 of these covers exist which isn´t that many to spread around to the millions of collectors in the world. i have a few available for my customers. each cover has an aug. 14, 1983 cancellation which is only 2 days after the $9.35 express mail stamp was issued, still don´t know why the usps didn´t put a first day cancel on it. and the launch and return date cancels of the shuttle to the earth on the front and back of the cover (see image 2 and 3). the cover also commemorates the 25th anniversary of nasa. sadly, this shuttle was blown up on a cold day january 28, 1986 and i was an eye witness to it. i live in tampa and could see the launches from cape canaveral on a clear day and it was a very clear day on that fateful morning. as we watched the event on tv and the throttle up, the explosion happened. we rushed outside to see the rockets veering off from the exploded shuttle. what a horrible sight to see especially for the crew´s family sitting at the launch site. these covers will disappear quickly so add it to your collection now.(THIS SAME FOLDER AND COVER SELLS FOR $125.00 FROM UNICOVER. DON´T BELIEVE ME, HERE IS THEIR WEBSITE TO VERIFY IT, LOOK FOR THE CHALLENGER COVER.: http://www.unicover.com/EA8KAWZ4.htm ) happy bidding.

CAJUNSR AUCTIONS

| DESCRIPTION: STAMP GUMBO FOR
SALE |
|
Hi y'all. The cajun is now offering
a select stock of one of a kind, rarer material from my 40+ year
stamp collection. Most of this material will be MNH, mlh, or used,
but well worth the price. Most will be full sets not partial ones
that many other sellers offer. If you are looking for quality, not
quantity, this will fill your stamp appetite. See this ad and know
that good stamp gumbo is at hand. Gumbo is a tasty cajun stew and
one of Louisiana's best kept secrets. I am an APS member, #181321;
AFSEC (ARMED FORCES STAMP EXCHANGE); and member/officer of the
Tampa Collectors Club, Tampa's oldest stamp club, since 1931.
(Scott numbers and values used, unless otherwise noted.) Come and
taste some stamp gumbo with the cajun. Merci and Happy bidding.
